Dec 01, 2012 10:44 | #4352 I like the subject of this one, but I can't quite tweak it so it looks better. Suggestions? I don't like the light/tones on the rocks in the foreground. Looks fake to me. ![]() IMG_5396 ![]() ![]()

Both of these are 30 sec with a Big stopper and the second had a Daryl Benson Reverse GND. Dec 03, 2012 09:21 | #4362 I'm looking to pick up a 10 Stop ND filter for Christmas, can anyone suggest a specific lens (67mm thread). I've been looking at a B+W 67mm ND 3.0-1,000X Its principal field of application is the observation and documentation of industrial processes with extreme brightness, such as steel furnaces, incinerators, glowing filaments in halogen- and other bulbs. Thanks in advance. -JasonMK on Flickr

I've been looking at a B+W 67mm ND 3.0-1,000X ![]() Yes, that's the one. 10 stops = 1024x (2^10), which is pretty close to ND3 (the number after ND is the power of ten). I have a solar filter that is designed for looking directly at the sun for observing sunspots, etc, and it is an ND5 (100,000x), which is a little over 16 stops.
