Morning all, burning question of the day - which tablet?

Samsung
Nexus
Kindle Fire HD
iPad 2/3
iPad Mini
Other?

I'm looking for a tablet that I can use for photographic stuff as well as keeping me entertained with games/media etc. Thoughts?

Is this even a question? :D iPad 4.

Cool. I think iPad mini is the way forward then, the reviews I have seen of all the tablets seem to point towards the iPad mini as being the best tablet on the market at the moment too.

Just don't anyone tell Chris after all the ribbing I give him. ;)

I'm not made of money!! Would be nice of course but too expensive by far. I'm thinking 32gb iPad mini. Wifi only will be good enough, I can't think that I'd need a 3G one.

I don't tend to use my 3G connection very much but when I have it's a godsend.

Mini is lovely, and is a great size. The big iPad is rather heavy for lengthy use too actually.

I can always use my phone as a wifi hotspot if I need to I would think.

Had a look at the mini in the flesh yesterday, I have to say it did look nicer than the others and even though the screen has a lower ppi than some of the others it still looked sharp and crisp to me. Watching movies on it will be better than on my phone (which I watch movies on quite often when SWMBO is watching the re-runs of Dallas!).

 I never thought I'd see the day either to be honest...been holding off for a long time. The Sky Go support is one of the big Android killers - I use it a lot and if it is only available of Apple tablets then that's something of a vote winner.

There is an Android app ? There is some issue with Jelly Bean but, if you get a Samsung you will be on ICS.

There is for mobile phones which is why my Desire S runs it but not for the tablets (according to sky website and various forums).

10% cashback at PC World through Quidco today...iPad purchase here we come!! (Although I'll not open it until Christmas Day)

**EDIT** Order placed, will be delivered tomorrow. :) The PC World experience is not, however, one that I'd normally go for and the checkout on the website took nearly an hour to get through...but 10% cashback was too good to miss!

Which brings me back to this...

Selling: Sigma 30mm f/1.4 - it is in pristine nick and goes unused since buying my 35L. I have been too lazy to list it or really try pushing its sale. Complete with original box & lens hood.

£200 + delivery to chums in this thread.

:D

Just make sure you keep all the paperwork - even the delivery note. PC World stiffed me out of a load of cashback when I bought my iPad and Quidco could not get them to pay up.
