All these shots with the lights on the background, gorgeous guys! I have a question, how much distance you need between the lights and your subject? I would really like to try it, but I have very limited space in my living room "home studio".

On my shots the tree was 2'-3' while the background lights were 5'-6'. If you click on the photos you can go to my smugmug site and see what the aperture and shutter speed was as well.

Good captures, but on this one if you had used a rimlight to get some separation between the young lady and dark background it would have been better. As is, it looks as though she is disappearing into the background.
