Dream as in it would be nice to have but never gonna happen? Yeah.. 200-400 for sure.

Right now though, I have my sights set on a Bigmos. I would be stoked when I can afford that. I have my eye on a nice used copy and about half way saved up. Goal is to have it come next month in time for our cruise. That will be my first separate lens purchase and I am super excited to have 500mm!

14-24L or an updated 16-35L, razor sharp across the frame.

Enough said.

Absolutely.

This would be the ONLY other dream lens I don't already own, and I really dont think I would use it even CLOSE to enough to fathom the purchase.....ever!

Yep, count me in on that. Although in reality if I were actually buying my dream lens, it would probably have to be a 400 2.8.

If you must know...

Yeah... I could have easily said the 400 f/2.8 or 500 f/4 or something of the sort... But honestly, those lenses although epic would probably not be used by me much. I like to shoot birds and planes and stuff, but not enough to justify the price.

The 200mm f/2L on the other hand would be... The focal length is just right for much of my shooting and the f/2 makes it highly desirable for me. The ability to use 1.4x or 2x TC's on it is nice as well. Out of all the super tele's I would say this or the 300mm f/2.8 is as "far" as I would go.

When I graduate from college next year and hopefully get a job, that is the first lens I will be saving up for. Since my girlfriend and I are not planning on having kids or anything of the sort, I should hopefully have enough disposable income to really have some fun if all goes well... :p

I was thinking about it. So if we are dreaming, along with the 300mm L f/2.8II & 500/600L II I mentioned earlier, I'll add the discontinued 200mm f/1.8 and 50mm f/1.0.

Thanks for Reading & Good Luck - Jim

24-70L, 70-200 f/2.8 IS L, 16-35 L, TS-E 24 L

Are these the 1's? The II's were all substantial upgrades in these 4 lenses.

Yea, that's pretty much my selection, although I'm not sure I'd need the zeiss and TS-E's.

85L is doable for me, more of a justification issue. The 200 f2 is not, so that's really my dream lens.

The TS-E is very affordable compared to those others.
