I brought my gear to work yesterday and got a few decent photos after school let out.

Female Vermillion ( I think it is. It was hanging around the males alot)

Bluebird (western I think) Not a great photo but he took off just as I was lining him up.

Looking at your gear list, the pics must have come from the 100-400L. Nice detail for sure and the colour is good. This lens is on my shopping list :-)

Rog, they sure are colorful. I had problems controlling the reds on the male Vermillion. Time for a 7d i think

Fine shooting Jeremy... I used to watch a Vermillion fly around the Oro Valley Golf Course years ago... such a striking bird.
