Damm.. i fart on mine.. what will that do to my coatings? :(

Pretty sure it introduces a pink cast to your shots.

I do that to my lenses, and it introduces a ghoulish green cast to my shots . . .
is something wrong with my insides?

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

I thought that was how you got that sepia tint. ;)

Cheers!

Or dark brown if held too close.

Are you offering to fog my lens up for me ?

We should do a breath test first to see which of us has better breath.

The most certain way to protect your lenses is to leave them in their original packaging on a shelf in your closet. That way they are unlikely to ever be harmed in any way... except in the case of earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes or house fires.

Exactly! Cleaning lens? Thats nuts. How can anyone by any stretch of the imagination stomach doing that?

To extract the warranty card from the original box without altering the delicate plastic bag packaging of the lens is already a monumental task that requires nerves, focus, skills, experience and perseverance.

I think CB is talking about the infamous LightRules "why is my camera not shooting at 6.5 FPS" thread (he had his camera in slow continuous shooting mode).
