Buy the 7D NOW!! before she changes her mind. Give her a big, sloppy kiss too.

I'm thinking (woman's point of view) it had better be BIG and SPARKLY not sloppy!

It's kind of odd she would know the model number for the upgrade. Been shooting for many years and my wife has no clue of model number.

Married 22 years - reading this thread makes me appreciate the relationship my wife and I have. Never have to worry about if there's an ulterior motive for either of us.

Happy wife = happy life so buy the 7D. .... OR ..... It's easier to seek forgiveness rather than ask permission so maybe the 5D 111 after all so man up and make a decision!

I'd be VERY CAREFUL if I where you. Like others have said she probably wants something in return. Take my example, my wife told me a couple of weeks ago that I can buy a new lens, didn't think twice about it and finally bought one this past Friday. Now she wants a cruise to Hawaii. She wants a ship that leaves from Los Angeles! So thats a 14 day cruise! But that's ok, she's worth it :-D

If she tells you this often, your fine. If she doesn't, then yes you are.

I'd say get the 5DIII or 6D, but then you'd only have two lenses that work on them. Get what you want, it sounds like she is getting a nice present.

Thanks for Reading & Good Luck - Jim

.....My wife said go upgrade and buy a 7d for Christmas.
Do I go buy one, or wait, I am leaning towards waiting which by then she is going to say I don't need one:lol:

What you should do, is be afraid. Be very afraid.

Edit. Oops. I didn't read all the other replies. You've already been warned. ;)

Uhhhh... wait. My wife just let me buy myself a 5DIII. Maybe I should take my own advice.
