I spent the night micro-adjusting some lenses using this chart... much better now!
Thanks Team Speed... you helped my 85 1.8 tremendously; maybe now I won't be afraid to use it!

Are the files on the OP the only free version available or have there been updates?

I just wanted to make I understand the chart before I make any adjustments. So I will focus at the "FOCUS" text, and then make adjustments based on the chart (0, +/-xxx). Is this correct?

I just focus adjusted my lenses and this tool was great! Thank you very much!

I noted one thing. It worked great on the 11-16, 24-105L and 70-200 2.8L. The Nifty however was really inconsistent when using it further away than about 1m. I hadn't really noticed that earlier. It will surely be helpful to know that when using it further on.

Many lenses behave differently at different zooms and even different distances. This is where microadjustment isn't the most useful tool, about all you can do is adjust it for what you might show the most.

Yea, but the 50mm doesn't zoom. ;):)

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

It's a cheap lens. Good optical quality, but still not as much money poured into it to get enough lens groups to make it consistent over full distance range. But then the 50L has lots of rumours about it too ;)

Actually it isn't even consistent at any focal length other than <1m. It was a little hit or miss while taking several exposures from the same distance. :S

Looks correct to me, now to verify, just go around and shoot random people, animals, etc to see what you think. :)

That is some thin DOF there.

I read in your instructions to shoot it at "wide open",so I shot it at f4 & f4.5,100 ISO,
