Bought a 5D3 kit on 11/14/2012 for $4099.99. Today it is $3599.99. Will B&H refund the difference?

What gets posted on here doesn't matter (yes, no, or otherwise - and you'll get all of these answers).

Best advice is to call them yourself and explain the situation.

Good luck!!

Why cant you call B&H? Are you afraid of rejection?
Besides its been a month, why didnt you wait, everyone knows prices drop closer to Xmas

This is a silly question to ask us

huntersdad,

Please don't take offense, but I'm always amazed that folks will take the time and effort to post a question on a website, when the answers they receive may be vague or incorrect. It is far more beneficial to go right to the source. This would save people time, alleviate stress, and potentially save them money if there is a finite window of opportunity.

A phone call or chat session with B&H Customer Service would give you a quick answer, but I was able to arm myself with the following information in less then 15 seconds on B&H's website:

http://www.bhphotovideo.com …Center/ReturnExchange.jsp (external link)

By no stretch am I trying to be rude. I'm simply posting this in hopes that it will help you and others when dealing with things like this in the future.

Best of luck. I hope you can score a refund for the price difference!

Bryan

Ran out of patience waiting for a chat or phone rep. Searched the website but couldn't put hands on the answer. Always amazes me at the number of smart ass answers one gets to a simple question.

I find it hard to believe that you would wait more than 10 minutes for a B&H customer service rep to answer your question.

I gave you a link that should answer most of your questions.

From the link I provided you:

1) B&H has a 30-day return policy. Has it been 30 days? Not yet. You still have time, but not much.

2) Have you had less then 200 activations on the shutter? If so, then you can still return it. If it's more then 200 activations, then they don't have to accept a return.

It stands to reason that if you still qualify for a return, then they will probably match the new price. If they don't, then you can return it and order a new one.

Quantifying my reply as a smart-ass answer, when in fact I was trying to help you, confirms to me that you are unable to help yourself. Especially if you don't have the patience to talk to B&H yourself or read the guidelines posted very clearly on the website. Other then that, no one else can help you. Contact B&H or sit on it and do nothing at all, it's your choice.

Bryan

To the OP... Last I was told they would refund price difference within a 15 day window. If the new price is in lieu of any promotion or rebate from Canon I'd almost guarantee they will not be able to help no matter what the timeframe is.

My advice is to have some patience and make the call again. Good Luck!

Also, they have a 30 day return policy. Return it and reorder if need be. I've never had an issue with them or Adorama. It shouldn't be a problem.

I would have picked another one from amazon or buydig when they had recent sale and returned the one you got from B&H.

Just an FYI , I bought a 60D from B&H , a day later a friend bought one on Amazon for $100 less..I called B&H , they promptly refunded the difference....

plus they informed me they had a special now where you got a free 16 gig card PLUS a carry bag when you purchased a 60D , and they were sending me those as well.

They followed thru , got the $100 refunded and the other items arrived FAST.

They have earned my business.....in fact I bought a T3i for my son a few days later from them :)
