It may do the job but not better, it is what it is.
I never mentioned in my post that you must sale your gear, that's your call, and as soon I can afford to upgrade my 5D2 for the 5D3 I will do it, no question about it.

the fact is you have a rebel metering and focusing system on a FF sensor, sell it NOW, get with the program. At least get a 60D or 70D, something that can actually focus. I haven't used my 5d2 since, well, I can't even remember. The LCD reminds me of my nintendo...

Brand new? Never seen one for that price.

Used. Yeah, I've never seen a new one that price.

I owned a T2i for about 2 years, and have had my 5d2 now for about a year. Anyhow, the 5d2 AF is better than my T2i. It's accuracy is a little better than slight, i'd say.

Unless you always bought new, the ratio looks rather typical for me for used lens buyers. I don't want start throwing names here but 90% of lenses I bought used have some issues, mainly on auto focus accuracy.

why do you keep buying duff lenses from unscrupulous sellers? BTW, i have bought at least a dozen used lenses and haven't had anywhere near the problems you claim.

Reasons I don't buy sigma - There lenses don't go toward my CPS :)

Seriously, Why did this thread even need to be started?

Get off your arse & go take some photos instead of starting heated arguments about a lens?

It's exactly the same with anything in the world..

Sigma Vs Canon Vs Tamron vs Nikon vs Uncle Bob's pimple on his arse.

No body cares that you ordered a 35mm from sigma, It just seems like you had the urge to type some useless thread on the internet to let everyone know.

While where at it, Hey guys I just ordered a second 5D3, Everyone tell me how much better a 1DX is please!

+1

OP just want to justify his purchase. People want everyone else to agree with them that what they have is the absolute best. Happy shooting.

Yes. Let it go, it's just a lens. Who care!

I'm glad Sigma got a win under it's belt, if the S35 was available when I bought my 35L, I would have given it a serious look but it was vaporware at the time and when I decide to buy, I buy. When the price inevitably drops another $100-$200 I might pick one up for giggles.

The siggy might be the better performer, but I have no regrets about my purchase and definitely no buyers remorse. :)

So refurbished Canon and Adorama are unscrupulous sellers in your eyes ? Look like you made too much assumptions every times you wrote something. How about sending all of your kits to CPS for a check-up that all the lenses you have are okie.

Not at all, my post was just based on all the comments from 35L against the new Sigma, that's all.
But once again they going at it again, read my first post and you'll see that no harm was intended.

I can't stop laughing and shaking my head when newbs create threads praising the lenses they DONT EVEN HAVE and have never even looked through, comparing them to lenses they DONT EVEN HAVE and have never even looked through and then everyone gets emotional.

What a stupid thread. Start to finish, just plain sad.

I acquired an expensive camera so I can hang out in forums, annoy wedding photographers during formals and look down on P&S users... all the while telling people it's the photographer, not the camera.
