Hi! Can you detail your camera setup and processing using the Ipix lens? Are you using Ipix software, etc? i have the hardware and am ready to try some shots, but not sure how to proceed.

Thanks!

I am using this lens http://www.amazon.com …s-Converter/dp/B002AJ6ERM (external link)

with adapter similar to this

http://www.amazon.com …TF8&qid=1334060875&sr=1-2 (external link)

and a stepdown ring...

Works great...

I love those stacked images posted here as well. I'm going to have to read up on that...

Thank you Dennis! It took quite a few attempts (mainly to get the perfect splash and strawberry placement), but I found I was able to sync with the flash at 1/1000 using my wireless triggers =) Any faster would result in a black frame.

Still wondering how to determine when to take the shot with something like this. Did you consider the Motion Detection aspect of CHDK? I've not used CHDK yet, but wonder if the motion response time can be calibrated to fire microseconds after detecting the strawberry, or do you need a lead time in anticipation of it's contact with the water, etc.?

Dennis

RealtorBoy, I made a video some time ago for another user and have shared it with a few others. I've re-uploaded it here;

Hope it helps. I since bought 2 new brackets, but they all work relatively the same...

I did think about the motion detection script, but then decided against it this time. It was my first time and I wanted to see how things went. I had it manually focused and just pressed the shutter when the fruit hit the water. It helps when you drop it at about the same height every time so you can get some type of timing down.

Regarding the settings on the script, it is possible to set a delay after it detects motion. I'll play with it some next time I decide to try this type of shot again and see how it goes.

Not the best, composition-wise, but it's cute. :)

A few from a recent cruise that my wife and I took to Nova Scotia. All unedited and just using the G12 functions.
