Nothing too special here, but I wanted to share this for anyone who is thinking on buying some studio equipment. I finally bought the B&H Impact flash umbrella setup (which seems to have gone on sale since I bought it a few days ago) and a 2nd 430EXII flash. This was my first test of the umbrellas, and I'm very happy with the results. This shot of the Ganesh statue is straight out of the camera. I took a few shots to get it right, dialing in the reflected umbrella to reduce the back shadow. Point is that it is really fun doing this and the trial and error method seems to work so far, but I have a lot of learning to do. I am going to be shooting my friend's wedding this summer, so I hope to have a lot of friends pose for me while I figure out how to properly use the setup.
