I don't have enough to get the 17-40mm So is this thing Worth it? How is the Sharpness and Color Fringing? I know a lot of people have down this lens especially in the Sharpness & Contrast Department but i need a wide Angle Lens so i'm going to try this one out for a Month. If I'm not satisfied, Than i can always Return it and get the 17-40mm if this lens doesn't hold up. Canon 1DX | EF 17-40 f4L | EF 50 STM | EF 85 f1.8 | EF 70-200 f2.8L IS II

If 32mm (equivalent) is wide enough for you then it should be fine. I'm still perfectly happy with mine, but I use it on a 5DmkII. However, in looking at your signature, a 17-40 isn't going to be really any wider than your 18-55mm. Depending on how wide you want to go, I think your needs would be better met by a Canon 10-22 or the Tokina 11-16. Yeah i'm going to get the 17-40mm instead i think. i'm a very realistic person so 17mm is perfect for me especially on a Crop Sensor Body and i just can't deal with the 18-55mm Kit lens anymore. The Quality is so Bad compared to even my 55-250mm let alone the 50mm 1.4. Thanks for your input though. Canon 1DX | EF 17-40 f4L | EF 50 STM | EF 85 f1.8 | EF 70-200 f2.8L IS II
