B&H just matched the price on the 85L to $1799. No 10%-off coupons there, though.

the 24-70 was finally back in stock for 2199 as well (albeit briefly with 2 pieces) - picked it up with 10% off for a sweet 1980 - wish i had seen the deal for thew 35L - anyway the 35 will be the sigma now.

I hope not! I just recently bought these lenses!

In all seriousness though, who knows when new lenses are coming and it doesn't make the ones I have now any worse. And I know we're just joking around about new lenses. Odds are, this is just competitive pricing/sales, which take place every year around Christmas time.

Weather sealing would be nice but whenever replacements come they will cost much more.

LOL. Isn't it funny. I've been hearing about "but the Mark II of such and such lens is about to come out!" I'm so glad I didn't listen to rumors such as this (unless there was very strong evidence) because I've been out enjoying the heck out of these stellar lenses for quite some time. Plus, if recent lens released are any indication, a new revision will probably cost at 75% - 100% more then the current version, so I'd probably wait a few years anyway after a new release for the prices to come down.

I'm dying to pick up an 85L - if anyone has an extra 10% off code that they're willing to share, I would be forever indebted!

Ordered 85L on Sunday using 10% discount code... status still showing " Shipping soon". Normally, does it really take them that long to ship?
