My sister, the professional baker and cake decorator once told me that my camera takes great pics. My reply was that I thought her oven baked great cakes.

This is my third time around, too. On the 5D. This time, I did NOT have a 50, so I'm forced to use the 85. Finding I really love it more than I ever thought. I just kept going back to the 50 before. Being forced to use the 85, I've learned to really love it. My favorite lens right now.

Yeah - I liked it on my T3i, but on my 5D II it's like a whole new world..

WARNING!: Before commenting that my color correction is horrible, please keep in mind that I am colorblind, and that hasn't stopped me from trying.

I just bought this lens for the second time myself....I didn't give it much of a chance last time, because I was too busy. But I really like the focal length and want to give primes a chance again!

Hey Vinz, not sure if you've realised, but the 85mm 1.8 is not an L series lens as you have indicated in your signature, neither is the 40mm 2.8...
