Cheers, Paul.

^^ That's a really cool shot!

I wonder what it looks like with a normal shutter speed and no filters :)

Went out to use my Lee Big Stopper about two months ago. Then forgot about them until I was looking through my recent imports.

how does the 5D2 do with really long exposures? I have one on the way, and suspect it will be the go to for LE work once it arrives...I will be dying to get out and shoot with it.

5D2 does great at everything I ever use it for. I've gone from the original digital rebel to a T1i, a 5D classic and now a 5D2 and this camera impresses me every time I use it.

If you have any trouble shooting long exposures with it, blame it on the filter, your tripod, or your technique before you blame it on the 5D2. :D

Good to know. I have not been terribly thrilled with anything longer than 60 seconds on the 7D...hoping the 5D2 does better....I have spent a lot aquiring good accessories...only thing left to blame will be me!

What kind of problems have you had with LE on the 7D? I've shot up to 4min, easily, with no problems on it. Assuming that you're shooting lowest ISO, I don't think you're going to see *much* of an improvement in noise; although, you might. <shrug>

I've had no problem with the 7D and long exposure.

I seem to have a lot more noise than I would like in the darker portions of the image when exposures get over 90 seconds. I end up needing to overexpose too much and lose my highlights a little. I did notice that it got better when I upgraded to the Lee Big Stopper...but I still get images that when I convert to B&W my blacks can't be adjusted in the black and white conversion process, I have to do it with adjustment layers after the conversion. It just makes for more post work on them.

What filters? I've found it to be very clean myself.
