Cool! ^^^
I felt like my servo AF was a little sluggish at first and then it was like it "wore in" and got better after a little use. It still isn't a speed demon but it is plenty fast for most anything.

you have to know him but this shot fits him perfectly

It seems like all parts of the lens are a little stiff right now. Hopefully it'll loosen up and ease into it soon!

Congratulations kiapolo.

I should post in here more often since this lens is on my camera 95% of the time! Here's an after sunset shot in Ios, Greece.

assuming that the light is ideal, at what setting is this lens at it's sharpest?

I'm usually happy with f/4 through f/8. If I really care about IQ I just shoot for f/4 (or narrower depending on the light)
f/2.8 is fine but you asked about sharpest.

This is a link to my Sigma 17-50 folder. Every photo has the aperture listed below it. You can't view the full size uploads but you can view up to 2048 on the long side.
I hope this helps.

I'm convinced it's f8, though that could just be my paranoia!

Excellent Marm! How'd you shape the hand so well with so little mess?

Thanks.
My local pharmacy gives out free hypodermic needles without the needle part... I think they are technically "droppers." They are great for dewdrop photos and stuff like this.

Wish I could go play with this lens. I've been at the library since 11PM last night, and I'm still here. Exams wont END!!!!!

Edit: I'm getting delirious.
