A few from an event I shot the other night. All shot with the 35 1.4 and a bounce 580exII on camera... in manual mode. They are all SOOC JPG's.

This Fuji has taught me I've gotten extremely lazy at exposing shots correctly. I've been shooting RAW for so long I don't care if I blow out a highlight here or there, or if shadows are a little too dark. Now that there isn't good RAW support, I have to learn to get it right in the camera... again..and not get lazy this time...

Just curious...

are you guys using that Square hood all the time with the 35mm lens?

Also, you you guys shooting mostly on Auto ISO and Aperture priority?Or full manual? Haven't had any REAL time with the camera but plan on having fun with it this week... :-)

I use the hood all the time. I have been using auto ISO, but when I use flash I use full manual.

the 35mm is a great lens... i just want a great day in NYC (been raining for the past 4 days). i wanna take it out and shoot... without worrying about getting my xpro 1 wet... :-)

The Small Fujifilm EF-X20 flash is a great flash, but i NEVER liked the "direct" flash look... i prefer to bounce my flashes... unless Fuji makes a tilt-able head one i would not suggest anyone to get it if you do not like the direct flash look........ but it cam be used as Slave and it's pretty powerful!

More shots to come!

I hear ya about the rain... Darkness at 5pm and rain most everyday makes it very hard to get out. That damn work gets in the way. It's OK, i'll get to spend some time with her (X-E1) in Mexico in January!

I just got my xe1, and I have been using the hood so far. I'm shooting aperture priority and auto iso at the moment. For any off camera flash stuff I'm always in manual.

Here's a couple shots from the last few days. I still haven't had much time to play with the camera, but I really like it so far.

Thanks David. It was a 30 second exposure with multiple flash pops from a 580ex around the jeep. It was my first time trying light painting on a car. I thought it turned out decent for my first attempt. :)

I'd say that's pretty awesome for a first attempt!

Hi everyone.

I'm selling or trading my XF 18mm f2 for the 18-55 lens if anyone is interested?

Please PM me.
