Nice pictures Sirrith! The first one of the Louvre is my favorite. Really interesting how you played the WB in it... I left all my Louvre shots at around 'daylight' to keep the deep blues of the ambient light with the saturated yellows of the tungsten lights. Yet, they have a completely different mood to yours where you have WBed to the Tungsten ligths... its interesting how it changes in mood. Not better or worse, just different.

Very interesting, love your angle!
Rafa.

I was thinking that my above post meant really nothing without a picture, so... I'm attaching the picture :) . Alas, during my stay, the back 'tower' was not lit, so it has really less punch, and, your more 'intimate' and closer framing is much more suiting. Yours is also much better exposed :) .

Haha thanks Rafa. I was trying to look for the photo on your site, but couldn't find it. Its odd that the tower wasn't lit, it has been on every time I've walked past there! But I don't think mine is better, just different. You were there earlier than me so you got a much nicer sky, and I'm really digging that reflection on the left side of the pyramid, it gives your photo a lot of depth.

Great photo Sirrith! (As usual!). Where in Paris is this? I didn't reach that place, and seems a nice place to keep in mind if I'm ever back there!

Rafa.

I see... then that explains why I didn't see the spot while in Paris! :)

Thanks!

Cheers Rafa, yes, that is in Edinburgh. To be precise, its the Dugald Stewart monument on Calton hill, one of the more popular spots for sunset viewing in Edinburgh :)
