Sigma 18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 II DC OS HSM

While there is an older thread on the sigma 18-200, I notice there hasn't been a thread dedicated to the newest version with the 'FLD' glass. I've had this for a couple of months now, I'd like to share some of the photos I've taken with it.

I'm not sure why others haven't commented but I'm interested in this lens as a walk around. The glass they put into this thing is highly impressive on paper. I'd really like to get some feedback from others who may have purchased it.

You might be interested that sigma has now released a 18-250mm lens (with macro features). Between the two lens, they perform slightly differently at different focal lengths/apertures.

Personally from my usage I find the lens to be pretty sharp between 30-85mm. At 200mm, it is not as sharp. If you are focusing on a small bird far away, the results are pretty average.

I'm interested in this lens and planning to purchase it, could you comment on it's indoor performance?

With a aperture of F6.3 in the long end, it can struggle a bit if it's dim indoors. If you want to use it indoors in low light, I'd highly recommend buying a flash unit.
