Met up with a model from MM and she asked to bring a friend along and I said sure! This was Kim's first time behind the camera, and here are the results.

Great work man. she really pops out. I think you should study position models to better express emotions and essence

Thank you guys, she did pretty good considering it was her first time and she's only 14 btw. I believe she is 1/2 Korean and 1/2 American.

You'd be doing her a favor, and you by extension, if you could get a variety of facial expressions from her. What she is giving you is fantastic, but every shot the same, although it's possible that came in other shots in the series, I'm just sayin'. I think you did a terrific job with these, especially the last few, as did she. One thing, it's nit picky, but important. When shooting long haired girls, be sure to have them smooth their hair out where it separates over their shoulder. Look at the messy strays in the first shot at the hair separation hear the chest/shoulder area. Just have her smooth those sections with her hands and the viewer won't notice it as much. If she is modeling fashion clothing, you don't want to big swath of messy hair covering half the garment in that way. Again, nit picky, but you asked. Overall, you BOTH did a terrific job here. She looks natural and relaxed, you nailed the focus and worked the light well, no misplaced light patches falling on her nose for example. (The first shot was the only one with backlighting, and it was nicely falling on the hair. Did it cloud over after that?) great job. she is gorgeous. very exotic look.

Again, nit picky, but you asked.

Thanks for the compliment, not quite sure what you meant when it says I asked.
Again, Kim pretty much tagged along to get some pictures, she's not a model, does not claim to be one either. I posted a thread of the model that I had made arrangements with a few days ago, this was just the 2nd part of it that I wanted to share since I thought they came out half way decent for her first time behind a camera.
I'm no means an expert to posing and that is why I have decided to only work with models that are experienced.

I had been in the "critique forum" and got side tracked to here and THOUGHT you had asked for critique. I'm so sorry, I hate it when people are sharing photos and others bust in with critique when it wasn't asked for, and there I go, doing it myself! It was an honest mistake cuz I'm just this pleasant idiot who doesn't read very well obviously. LOL. She's gorgeous and you really did do well, so let me just leave you with that thought. Sue. : )
