This is off-topic for this thread unless you have some Nikon specific question. You may want to start your own thread in this subforum for help with image editing.

Welcome to POTN. What specifically do you want done to it? "edit" is a big playing field, you might not like what you get.

WOW,,,,I love that Phantom, my fave plane of all mil aircraft, love the way It looks so large and aggresive compared to other aircraft, even side by side with an F15 Eagle It still looks large, and the light on the mustang looks Superb.....

I saw that and I just stared at it for a while since he has obviously never seen a digital back for a film camera before. By his own admission he has only followed Nikon since 2008 so I suppose he was unaware of Nikon's initial venture into digital with Kodak by basically sticking a digital back onto an F5.

Not only F5. The first Nikon SLR that Kodak used for digital, was F3.

Kodak also used the F90 as well as the Canon 1N. I have to wonder if this is an old patent that is being mistaken for a recent one. At this point most people have long since dumped their film bodies and those of us who still have them use them to shoot film, I wouldn't think of sticking a digital back on my F100.

This is another patent for something I don't think will see the light of day if it is a new patent.

What's teh difference between a D2H and D2X? I've acquired a lot of Nikon gear recently including some decent lenses but with all I have I could easily jump ship or expand on Canon. 2 of the cameras I got are the ones i Just mentioned along with a D200 which I think wouldn't be a bad 3rd camera for my wife if I use the other two at a wedding. Also have a couple of D100's now. Just pondering on what I should keep or sell it all and get some nice new Canon gear.

The D2x was considered the high MP camera of it's time. Similar to the D3x when it came out. The D2H was Nikon's way of fixing the complaints of the D2....from what I recall.

About 8MP. The D2H was 4MP and was released during the time I was still refusing to go digital in 2003 . The D2X was a 12MP body released a couple of years later. While they look to be the same from the outside those two years were critical in sensor technology. I recently picked up a D2Xs fairly cheap and it makes a nice solid second/third/fourth body. The D2Xs just had some minor revisions such as ISO adjustments other than full stops above 800.

Caught by chance - I was out front late this afternoon with the $100 body still trying to get the mirror to stick when I heard a noise in a tree where a female cardinal was doing a woodpecker impersonation. Nikon was still working on DR with this sensor and I can't really get much more out of the shadows. It's a hit on FB though. ;)

Anyone has got a link with pictures comparing dynamic range of d600 vs 5dmk2? I am really tempted to switch if its as good as it looks on paper.
