This has been the $200 that was in effect for several weeks now, I believe most retailers have this built in to their price.

I know we're all anxiously hoping that Canon will offer something significant on the 6D or 5D3, but so far it doesn't seem like they're going to budge :(

I wondered if they would offer a deal on the 5D3 for Christmas, but I think they planned the 6D release perfectly, for them that is. People that were waiting for the 5D3 to come down a bit, now have another FF option at a price that is better than any deal would have been on the 5D3. Now I know these are two different cameras, but I'd bet there are a lot of people that were waiting for the 5D3 to come down in price to snatch up the 6D instead.

Yes, but people with CROPS are going to be tempted by the NIkon D600. Most normal users with crops don't have 10+ lenses. IF they have a couple, they might jump over.
