Add to cart and price drops to $1899 and includes a free (probably lame) bag and a Sandisk 32GB mem card.

This was released here what? 2 weeks ago? and its already dropping by $200 from retail? Crazy. I think it will be around $1600-$1700 in 6 months. What a bargain.

To me, puttting 1 cross AF point to the 6D is a totally wrong decision. I really dont see too much of need to upgrade from 5DII to this camera if I use the center point/recompose on the 5DII. Even if the price of this camera drop to the D600 level, I would consider the Nikon entry FF if I was a new FF upgrader.

I really wish it had 60D AF. I honestly have a hard time seeing it as an upgrade to my 60D when it has less cross AF points, fewer fps, lower max shutter.

FF 60D is what we needed, not FF t3.

A 5DII is 1529 right now and will do noting but go down. This, by selling the lens, would be $1750.

So while it might not be worth it for you to upgrade, it may be a boon for someone moving to FF.

I agree. But like I said.. If i was a fresh FF upgrader, I would just go for the Nikon D600 which I see better value and more offers in the package. Plus If you buy the kit lens combo and sell the lens, the D600 body costs around $1500..only. Sure a better choice to me.

Me too. I'd dump Canon In a NY second. I have, sadly, come to the conclusion that I'm too steeped in Canon stuff even as an crop body monkey. Selling all the ancillaries off is just too much trouble.

Agree as well. I can't see a single advantage of 6D over D600. Even if IQ is equal, Nikon's AF system kills the counterpart. Plus it has a built in flash that you can use in a pinch.

This wasn't too surprising, considering BuyDig already had it for $1899 last week for a day or two.

The drop that is new and more interesting is the kit for $2499. (Sell the lens for $700-750 and you have a 6D for $1750-$1800.)

Video and noise suppression for me are the reason I won't buy a D600 over 6d.
