Have you given the EOS-M a thought? From what you want to use this camera for the M seems to fit the bill nicely.

I'd picked up a Canon T4i kit already. I'm not sure if the EOS-M can mount EF lens on there or not. Been shooting a lot of things around the house and so far it's great! My last rebel body was when Canon release the XT. I was surprise I wanted another rebel. Maybe I'm just getting old and can't handle the weight of a full frame camera..LOL.

Update....

Sadly...I returned my Rebel T4i to best buy today. I thought I could do another rebel camera but I just can't. The viewfinder was just too small. I didn't like the ISO selection either. I was seeing noise at ISO 400 in my pictures. Althought the t4i did offers some cool features, I thought it wasn't enough to justify keeping it.

I bought the EOS-M for the same reasons you are looking at - or purchased the t4i. There is a EF-M adapter so that you will be able to use all your current glass.

The EOS-M with the EFM 22 fits in pockets and is really not much (imo) than my s100 and takes great shots.

Just my $.02

statefarm is quoting 120 USD for insuring 8k worth of camera goods - how did you work out the insurance.

I was saying for $3k camera. It is little over 1%. 8k I would guess <$100. Maybe rates went up. I just paid $200 for $16-$20k last week.

Another thought is old 5dc. But I will just get insurance and stop worrying. It is like buying a nice sports car and then letting it sit in the garage.:) Not that I haven't done it but that was more due to $4.50 gas here in CA.

Best Buy has a display model. You had the opportunity to check out the camera before hand prior to purchasing.

My Bestbuy did not have a display model at the time.

But Joe, here's the number to my local bestbuy in fresno. 559-446-0195 give them a call and see if they have a T4i display model up yet.

Also please explain the return line after Christmas for me will ya.

It's people like you that ruin it for everyone else. I hope you're happy.

23 post - join date: Oct. 2012??

And your trolling already?

Well you better stand outside of Walmart and bestbuy on the 26th and tell every person who bought sometime from those store that they're just ruining it for everybody else too. What a hypocrite you are. Please don't return here until you have something intelligence to say.

This is getting off topic but isn't that the whole purpose of a return policy? In case you bought an item that you realize after you bought you didn't need? Thank goodness for return policies because I can't count how many times I've purchased somethnig that I needed when I couldn't find it in the house only to find it after I had already made my purchase...RETURN!

Best Buy will probably just send it back to Canon and add it to the CLP line-up after they test it and "refurbish" it. Someone's going to get a brand-new T4i for a CLP price and be very happy.

I know what you're tlaking about though kouasupra. I just got my 50D and couldnt' image going back to my Rebel. Granted it's not the same jump that you had, Rebel to a 5DIII, but none-the-less. I'm actually planning on heading up to Fresno today, and I'll check on that T4i display and report back (since I'll be in the neighborhood over at Horn Photo hopefully). ;-)a I know for a fact that Best Buy in Visalia doesn't have a T4i on display...I was walking around the store a few days ago.

+1

Please do. Big business such as BH, Adorama, Walmart, bestbuy, and so many are successful because of there return policy. Everybody knows that.

This topic is getting off course.
