Wondering if anyone uses a ballhead on monopod?

Nope! None (arca clamp) or a monopod tilt head is what I prefer. For me there is too much play before tightened the head down to worry about with one leg (great for three legs). The only time a ball head might be better for me is when on an uneven surface (see SkipD's description), but I've always been able to manage. Just my preference.

I have used these tilt heads and never liked them IMO the only thing good about them was the QR
