For a crop i went with the 30, 50, 100 primes. This gives a nice separation between the focal ranges. The other option would of been 35/85/135 but I think it's a little long for a crop.

Honestly there is very little difference in focal length. Its about 1 step (3 feet) back between 85-100mm.

My 90 2.8 macro was slow to focus, my 100f2 was dull on colors. Sold both of them for 100L. Could do both macro and portraits by single lens and with ambient light only because of IS.

I have the 100mm 2.8 L macro and the 100mm f2. The f2 is a better lens for portraits. You made a great choice.

100 f2...I've had both, the 100's way better. Less CA, sharper wide open, and I liked the FL better, gave me a bit more breathing room. Also...the 100 has a metal filter ring...extra insurance if you bump the thing!

Happy with this quick f2 indoor grab shot this evening. Of all the lenses I have bought and sold, the one I missed the most is this one, so glad to have a 100mm f2 in the kit bag again.
