Here is a dumb question I have almost 10,000 actuation's on my 450 XSI. How long before a new camera is needed for a casual shooter?

Until you see it unfit for your purpose..

Shutter actuation's should not be a deciding factor in replacing a camera.. (Well maybe sometimes :P)

Saving for a 60D prices have gone up over the last month or two. Got a lot of new glass and just don't want the thing to die on me before I have something else in hand. Thanks

Where are you price shopping? Ive noticed the prices drop over the last month or so. B&H has a body only 60D right now for $699.99 with free shipping and I ordered one local yesterday for $650. Thats the lowest Ive seen them so far.

Actually, it's rated for 100k. Look about 2/3 of the way down in the review: http://www.the-digital-picture.com …al-SLR-Camera-Review.aspx (external link)
