I went with the red stitch model last year and glad I did.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

There are threads here on them, a lot of us have them. They are the "Herringbone Hand Strap" and are purchased form a couple sellers on EBay, mainly from Hong Kong.

Excellent quality and highly recommended!

Curious where you go the hooks? Wapiti straps are awesome

Apologies for the delayed response.

The hooks were take from an unused shoulder strap from a small Lowepro bag designed to carry a large P&S like a G15.

eBay. It seems like the only place to purchase them from.

Actually, the sellers are from South Korea.

L lens or not, it would of made sense to go with red since Canon's main color is red after all.

I have installation video for the strap and some commenters asked/suggested that there should be a yellow stitching version for Nikon users.

the ones I used are lanyard/diamond knots. Here's a vid on how to tie them:

the guy who made that vid has a lot of other cool stuff you can do with paracord on his website.
