Early 1970's hot rods. #00 John Harvey comes to grief in the armco and the 2nd photo shows the sports 1st ever world champion Bob Howe #108 back in 1972 waiting for the green flag

Yep I reckon that the Anglia met its maker that long gone day,back then it was with its handling qualities the car of its era for many. 40 years on its still an amateur sport but with the cars now costing upto £40k, its come a long way. The world championship competedd for in England by around 7or 8 nations and the occassional American has competed. In contrast the cars sompeting today have progressed to look these HERE (external link)

Great old shots. The Anglia has had the Richard I think! It is terrific looking back at what things used to be like before it all went crazy with technology.
