I took my son to the San Diego Safari Zoo on Saturday and had some great time. Here are some pictures. The 5D3 is amazing and I am so in love with it. I took some awesome shots with my 24-105.

My favorite attraction was the cheetah run. We got there maybe 30 seconds before it started so I tried to open up my lens as much as possible to catch the amazing speed of the cheetah.
The funniest thing was the face of the Asian lady in the grey jacket. Her jaw dropped while she watched it.
There was a big "WOOOW" in the crowd watching too.
All pictures taken at 1/1250 sec F8 ISO 8000.

This was shot a while back, but I took the time to edit it a bit tonight. I'm still amazed at what the RAW files from this camera can produce, even when I miss, they can often be rescued...

^^Nice shots! How is the zoo in San Diego? I plan to be in the area in a few weeks and wondering if its worth the time to go.
The zoo is awesome. They're working diligently to improve the animal enclosures. It's a rather hilly zoo so if you want to enjoy it all, know you'll do some humping. The plants are as amazing as the animals and are said to be worth more.
