Christmas In The Sand (external link) by Scott Smith (SRisonS) (external link), on Flickr

I know there's a whole lot of ball in this shot; but it pretty much sums up how the taping of this performance had gone. To play up the whole "Chirstmas In The Sand" theme, they sent out numerous beach balls into the crowd, to constantly be tossed around (this shot wasn't perfect timing or anything.. just a pause between takes). I think I got hit in the head about 10 times. It was so bad, other people around me were counting. The whole spectacle seemed a little much. But I'm hoping it at least filmed well.

But be sure to look for yours truly during the Disney Parks Christmas Parade, on ABC (I'm wearing a light gray shirt, and a dark gray hat). I would either be at this performance, or next to Maria Menounos and Samantha Brown. ;)

Merry Christmas, Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Killer shot. I prefer Disneyland's mainstreet. I get the feeling of being in a storybook at Disneyland. The nostaglia and charm is just so thick at DL.

How do you pull off something like this without any people around?

Hang around the park after they close and wait for the crowd to thin out, then take a long exposure or two. So long as everyone is moving 15-30 seconds will blur them out.

ya figured after the fact... I still think you'd be waiting awhile. Although I havnt' been there since I was a kid. Taking my kids in Feb 2013 though. Park closes at like 10 or 11 right?

Epcot closes at 9:30 most nights (when the fireworks start), Magic Kingdom closing time varies..........before you go you should check the park schedules. They have random extra magic hours where the parks will stay open as late as 1am. They are supposed to be for people staying at a Disney resort, but they won't kick you out, you just can't go on any rides without a Disney resort room key.

Ya I heard about being on the resort you get extra perks. We wont be staying on the resort though. I'm hoping I can at least stick around to get some decent shots without such huge crowds. I doubt they walk around to everyone asking if they are staying on the resort right? So I'm assuming I should be ok

Thank ya sir!
