My 5DMkiii will be arriving on the island tomorrow. The father-in-law will give me the charger and battery and the wife will take the camera, wrap it and put it under the xmas tree where I will have to look at it for 6 days.

Same as the OP. Canon EF 40mm f/2.8 STM, the "pancake" lens. I need something light when walking around town, going to the market, the ice skating rink, the museum, etc. I'm tired of lugging aroung the 5D3 with grip and a heavy L lens. I'm going 5D3 sans grip and the pancake for the ultimate FF lightweight.

Can't beat the price. Looking forward to it.

It's very light and very small. I was wondering how it would fit with the EOS-M so I asked Jon to use it when we were together. Must have the adapter, I guess, but it works well. I'm going to use it during the holidays as well.

I'm getting a Carryspeed DS-Pro camera strap because it has a lot of features and I'm tired of the Canon strap straining and leaving a perfect negative of itself on my neck.

My son got a new backpack for himself. I'm thinking to sell my Kata 465 and get a new bigger one. :)

Not expecting it, but I asked Santa for a Bigmos, or the money to get one. This wish is two years in the making. What I need, and more than a lens even, are memory cards and I'm hoping a couple will be heading my way. 4 gigs won't be enough for a 4 day cruise in raw. I am way too shutter button happy lol.

I decided to hold off on the 7D until the rumours of mkII dies down. But I went ahead and got a pancake :D
