I've done a couple of shoots with Katherine.

She's asked me if we can do another shoot with the intent on getting published. I've never submitted a set of photos to a magazine or website before.

Could anyone suggest suitable magazines/websites to submit to? Here is Katherine:

We would tailor the style of the shoot to the publication. She's quite open to submitting an 'adult' set, although doesn't have to be.

Thanks for any help!

I don't know of any quality print magazines that regularly publish unsolicited glamour photos. There is so much glam produced every day that print magazines only use assignments with top photographers to fill their pages.

There are many magazines, radio stations, and small companies that have hot girl style photo contests on websites, and there are 1000s of contests on Facebook every year. Maxim Hometown Hotties, Playboy Miss Social, FHM Honeys, are some of the more famous. The model can use the photos to get hired for other work or shoot with other published photographers. Local or national magazines will often have more interest in a model from your area.

Thanks Scott. I know very little about this area and that's really good info.

Katherine isn't pursuing a modelling career, she really just wants to get published so she (we) can say we've done it :) I'll have a look at the magazines you mention. Perhaps there are some websites that we could submit a set of photos to? Either maxim-style or more 'adult', doesn't really matter. Anyone else have any suggestions?

Does it need to be down under or can it be anywhere? There are a whole bunch of web based content that crosses over to print and subscription. There's stuff on facebook that can lead to web and print.
On facebook have a look at:
tropicbeauty models
glamjam magazine
XXXTremeVisionRadio.com
Eyecandy Model
Fashion Bombshell Magazine
The Finest Females on FB
Once you find a few they will lead you to more.

Its super tough in the U.S to get published glam/bikini/nude shots. Most of the time they use in house photogs. Ive been lucky enough to land a publication in Urban Ink. Its so much easier to get into Urban Glam mags or international. After months of submitting to Maxin Espanol I finally got a reply. They loved my work but wanted me to submit to a Latin American Import tuner style mag. Just the response was awesome to me. Ive been in chats with the editor of Black Men mag aswell.

Yea I know the urban glam world isnt for every one but its a good way to help build a resume. And the best part is, "THEY PAY!!!"

Sounds like the hard work paid off! Congrats :)

Not sure where i am going as i only shoot occassionally. I do shoot with a very tattooed model and she is keen to get published so we may have some luck with a tat magazine. Perhaps katherine and I can find something to submit to,... although not sure if we can expect any financial reward.

If any of you shoot fitness models check out FBB Magazine www.fbbmag.com (external link). They will also pay

spam?

Sorry, but I won't give my personal info to see some preview, show me your stuff first. So far I only see words on your website, not very inviting or appealing.....
FB page is also not very interesting or impressive, and if it's a fashion magazine, why the 21+ age limit?

Odd one.

I can't work out to who this is addressed? Nothing that i can see in this thread where someone is spamming, nor asking you to subscribe....

odd one indeed!

when I followed that fbb link I only got a page that asked me to sign up, hence the question if it's spam.
that page is gone now or they fixed what was wrong, but the person that posted never clarified, so I'm still wondering if it was spam?

I got no preview or info about the mag, just a page to sign up.

Just checked out your website. Darn - your work is good . . . REALLY GOOD!
As others have mentioned, working with magazines can be difficult. Your best bet would be to work with regional or local publications. They will not pay much for images, but at least your model can "get published", if thats what she is interested in.

By the way, thousands of publications buy glam shots every day via stock agencies. You should be getting every one of your models to sign a model release giving you the right to sell their images to anyone you want. Make sure your release includes the right to sell to "sensitive use" venues.

You could be making a small, but very steady stream of income if you put all of your images up on a stock site and "opt in" for sensitive uses.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

I'm gonna look at stock sites too next year. Not sure how much use they have for nudes, but not all my work is nudes and I hope to do more funky fashion and odd ideas with some of the models I know. Would be nice to offset some of the cost.

All links are working just fine for me. Not sure what you're clicking on that's giving you spam pages.
