I have a friend who wants DSLR-like speed (i.e. not the delay that comes with point-and-shoots and camera phones), but clearly doesn't need a high end camera. My gut says to recommend the T4i, but if there's a compact option that works similarly for her needs, that would be idea. I'm not that familiar with the EOS-M, but it seems like it has promise. Can anyone comment on its AF speed and if there is any delay with the shutter firing as you find with a lot of other point-and-shoots?
Thanks - Kyle
