Just a heads up for anyone interested:

Not sure if its actually a good deal or not, but it strikes me as a great price for a great camera, so I'm posting it.

I jumped on this deal a couple weeks ago. The D800 is an excellent camera and, at this price, it's a great deal. Mine shows no left-focus issues, either.

How quickly the prices have fallen. Assuming the US doesn't fall back into a recession this year I would guess prices bounce back in January.

I wonder what percentage of these refurbs have the left focus problem fixed and what the average shutter count is.

Wordering whether this is manufacturer warranty or the store.
Adorama has a VIP program that extends the warranty for 1 year that includes the refurbs as well. $7 per year for all purchases. Since it is recently started, I doubt anybody has experience so far.

Anybody has experience with Nikon refurbs? Wondering how Nikon refurbs are? I bought refurb lenses from Canon and they were all indistinguishable from new.

I got a 16-35mm F4 VR last week, and it is indistinguishable from new.
