Love this thread and the images!

One of my favourites because I got to be on foot in the African bush with several huge White Rhinoceros. The guide in the private game reserve knows the animals well and told me he had even hand fed them so when he offered to take me into the bush, I knew I had a chance to get some interesting shots. I did of course hover slightly behind him just in case :)

...and this lovely Zebra and foal. This shot from the vehicle while moving and in very low light. Unfortunately the bouncing around caused me to cut off the bottom hoof.

I just purchased all my glass - but I did rent a 70-200 2.8 for my trip to the Mediterranean last year.

This was taken in Nice, from the back of the bus. Lots of great pics taken this trip - this was just a little unique. D50

Great thread!
I'm still just getting my photography feet wet, having finally bought my first SLR halfway through this year. Having a great time learning though, and spending way too much time looking at all your fine photos!

My pick:

You're second shot looks like the same lake as mine on page 2 of this thread. Was that along the highway near Seward, Alaska?

This must be my favorite shot this year, even though it's technically not good at all (clouds coming in and whatnot).
After all it has a shooting star in it! :D
