One thing I noticed is that in the EXIF data, some of the shots are missing distance/aperture information, or have strange numbers, in some cases f/0. Seems to be the typical communication issue with 3rd party lenses?

Hmm, I'm not noticing this problem with mine. What are you using to check the EXIF?
