Generally speaking on your 6D do you manually pick the focus point used, (center or outer) or let the camera automatically pick multiple points? In what situations would you have the camera automatically pick the points

Went out this morning to try and catch the sunrise, didn't really know where I was going to go, and ended up finding this little marina. I am having such a great time using the 6D. I am not trigger happy when it comes to taking photos, but I'm already at close to 1000 images in under 4 weeks. I see that as the measurement for how much fun I am having

And one from Downtown, Fort Lauderdale - just a perspective shot of a parking garage, but I liked this angle:

Finally, something a little different... I have a Red 25 filter (for black and white film photography) that happens to fit on my 40mm Pancake lens. So I took it with me to see what pictures would come out like using this filter. Here's the experiment:

Personally speaking, I never let the camera decide. I set my dial pad to move the focus point in the custom functions III menu so I can move the focus point anytime while composing without having to press any other buttons. Makes it easy for me.

A few from this afternoon. In the gull shots I used BBF for tracking, and shutter button for release. Not sure yet if I prefer this, still banging the shutter button too often for focus
