Who has their own websites? And can provide a link? Do you use templates?

I've been using WordPress, but its awful slow, thinking about moving to Joomla, but not sure what steps to take amongst which template to use, Wondering if anyone has some good samples for me :)

I use wix. www.kdfphotography.com (external link)

Of course I have totally failed to keep up with it. I launched it when I came back to photography 13 years after closing my studio and I thought I wanted to go back to making money. So I got some of my first digital work up and then realized that the reason I quite the first time was because I made my hobby into job. So now I don't bother trying to get business but if anyone happens to stumble across it I won't turn it down.

I am serious....and don't call me Shirley.

Love love love your site. Everything is flawless. Your brand identity statement is very vivid, "lend me your eyes and I'll change what you see." Powerful statement. Just scanned your gallery and your Facebook, love the creativity, staging and the photography skills.

You have a new fan!

Shampoo sounds like an unfortunate name for a hair product.

I use wordpress for all my sites. Speed also depends on how many plugins you have and your theme. Also using a CDN helps, and getting on a better host helps too. Wordpress isn't slow necessarily. And Wordpress to me is the easiest to use for sure!

You can see my site at http://lynnylens.com (external link)

I make a camera lens for SLR/DSLR cameras and this is the site I built with wordpress.

That site is heavily loaded with plugins so it might be slower than I want, but I am working now on making it much faster by getting a new host.

i went a different route and got a template that was more geared toward services so that i could give bits of info all at once. Let the viewer go where they want to.

site is in my signature, just set up my photoblog and haven't linked it yet, but that's hosted on my domain with wordpress the main site is just an html website template i found.

i use bluehost to host my own site. i wasn't really enamored with the offering of "photo" hosting websites, i wanted something different. you have to pay too much to get any of the feature you can get yourself for free, provided you are savvy enough to do it.
