An app on my iphone that takes the same pictures as the 1Dx, and multiple lenses you can select inside the app.

Upcoming 1Dc comes close.

Since I do video and stills...
4K video. Would prefer a stronger codec like the mpeg2 of the XF series and clean 10bit RAW or ProRes video out the HDMI. Of course price could be cut in half...OK cut by 75%! and ability to AF in video mode with face detection like my XF300. Tech is there...just need to add the firmware.

Stills-wise, higher MP would be nice...maybe 40mp. BUT the ability to invoke a 2x crop and keep a 22mp pic. Rendering the TC a thing of the past. Imagine the 500mm f4 being a 1000mm f4 with no loss of AF speed or IQ at the push of a button. Or more popular..the 70-200 f2.8 becoming a 140-400 f2.8!!! Now we're talking!

My dream is of a low noise/nil banding quality sensor which beats the current leader (Nikon 800E) by a mile, with the Eos-3 Eye control expanded to cover the whole frame in a 1Ds size body. Canon need to change their thinking for me as the 800E has seriously raised the stakes.

Video? Not interested
High FPS/ISO? Again, not interested

One move I would encourage is a move away from hiding things in menus. I prefer to be able to access certain operations directly, without having to spend 45 minutes reading the manual and 15 minutes poking around in the functions lists. I've lost count of the number of times others have "helped" me by setting things only to later find that it no longer did anything right! If things are that unusual, I will cope without thankyou.

My dream camera is the the 1dx. The reason it's a dream is because it does everything I need in a camera, but it's outside my price range.

Give me electronic shutter which can sync at any shutter speed. I am not talking HSS stuff.

I would be happy with a 5D3 body with a D800 sensor. A larger viewfinder with interchangeable focus screens would be icing on the cake.

My dream "70D" would have:
1) More focus points than my 60D
2) The sensor from the 4Ti, which would give me #3 below
3) ISO 12,800 with expansion to 25,600 or higher
4) Split-image focusing screen for when I need to focus manually

The trouble is - I wouldn't buy it anyway. I just blew my photography budget for the next couple of years on the Canon 70-300L.

I wish they would make a 1D MkIV MkII. That would be an awesome camera.
