I am looking to buy a used 5Dc. How much should I pay for this? I am guessing $500 - $600 at the most. Is this low or a fantastic steal?

I paid £375 ($600) in the UK for a mint, one owner, body only with original box, strap, chrager, manual, spare battery and very low shutter count.(thats quite cheap from what I have seen else where) THey go for anything from £350 - £500 ($480-$800) depending on condition ans accessories.
The rip off UK is always more expensive than else where so I guess $500-$600 is in the ball park for a good one.

Cheers.

Welcome! I just joined this club last week, at first I was a bit disappointed as to what I was seeing on the LCD, but quickly found out don't use the LCD to determine color or sharpness (like I was used to doing on my T2i) as after some minor editing of the photos they look great. I just had a sunset shot I took enlarged to 8x12 and it's beautiful. The menu and user interface is antiquated but the camera does the most important thing quite well, capture beautiful images.

And as to price range for a 5D, $500 to $700 seems to be the range depending on accessories, shutter count and overall condition.

Oh and I think the 17-40 is a great choice for landscape shots.

Thats the glory of the 5Dc. Seeing mediocre stuff on the LCD turn into amazing shots on the monitor. Much better than see great stuff on the back of a rebel only to find out that it didnt as good on the monitor once its blown up.

I agree on the 5D, the images really come alive with minimal editing, not sure why but the files are easy to work with. But I disagree with the T2i (Rebel comment), my experience the images come out excellent and can be cropped heavily w/o losing quality which makes it an excellent sports and birding body.

Granted my last rebel was an xti, but I found the small LCD sometimes masked problems with an image. I would look at the screen and be convinced I had something special that didnt always translate in post.

A few from the London New Year's Day Parade 2013. I was using my 24-105, wide open the whole time, desperately hoping to find a subject in the foreground to maximise bokeh, but it's only served to reinforce by desire for the 135/2!
