I got mine today, what a lens! I'll post some pics once I'm done playing with it. Bye bye Sigma 50 hello Sigma 35!! Can't go wrong with all the free stuff from Adorama too!

Pulled the trigger myself!!! I went with Adorama for the 2% back and the "bundle promo" only problem is that the bundle promo is out of stock so i have to wait.. Are the goodies worth it?

Cant wait!

They are free so I'm not complaining. I'll probably use the cleaning supplies a bit when needed.

I'm not sure the quality of the Pro Optic filters, I am debating using the UV on the lens, anyone have experience with them? I'd hate to put a cheap piece of glass in front of such a nice lens!

I dont know why you should put any filter in front of this superb glass. It's bound to degrade the quality.

Canon 6D | S35mm f1.4 | 135mm f2 The rest: T3i, 20D, 15mm f2.8, 15-85mm, 24mm f2.8, 50mm f1.8, 85mm f1.8, 90mm f2.8 macro, 55-250mm.
So long and thanks for all the fish

Don't put cheap filters on your lenses. If you want to protect the front element, get the best quality filters for the job; B+W MRC are great. Even in harsh light I've not seen any degradation of IQ. I may be wrong, but Pro Optic are cheap and probably not coated or coated cheaply.

^^^^^
Thanks for the time & effort with your test comparisons.

I would really appreciate it if and when you have time to compare this Sigma versus the Leica Summicron 35mm wide open back to back with the exact same subject, environment & lighting conditions. Be nice if you could use the same camera body but i dont know if your Leica is the R or M.

Regards, Ron ;)

I just received my lens the other day. Some pictures seem soft to me, maybe user error. Any crop sensor owners out there have any issues with their copy as some have said they needed to micro adjust theirs? I'll play around with it a little more and try to post some pics for comparison.

This is my first try on the 7D, shot at f1.4 and f14. Two shots, I love it even more on the 7D than on the 5DII:
