ok guys, technical question here. I just migrated from a 7D, loving the full frame, loving how my 35 L is now nice and wide, loving the autofocus.
I only have one issue, not a major one by any chance, but it drives me crazy, after my 7D. you know how on the Q menu, the nice and quick menu, on a 7D you can have you type of focus points selected (spot, single, extended, zone and so on). I really miss that.

I mean, yes, I do the "click the M-Fn button the right amount of times while not looking at your camera" thing, so I do change them on my 5D3 with my camera down, however, it was cool just to confirm where I am from time to time. With the 5D I have to put my camera to my eye to check, and it's in the way of me doing my candid street shots, a real pain...

any workaround? any way to bring that back into the quick menu ?

^^ Wow. I had to pull the 2 cameras out just to verify this. Never noticed it!! Not sure if there is a workaround.

Press 'info' so the lcd looks like the quick menu, then press focus select button (top right on the back of camera), is this what you are looking for, or did I misunderstand?
