I used to have a '97 Suzuki Sidekick with the 16v 1.6...such a fun little 4x4!! I put some slightly oversize tires on it, and that's it, and the thing was unstoppable!!!

They are really capable off road, I've done quite a bit of mods to it like 3" lift, bigger tyres, airlockers, etc, but they are still super impressive when stock. Its fun going further than trucks worth 4x as much as yours!! I hear ya! I used to live up in Northern Canada, where all the oil rig workers had tons of money, so they all bought massive Ford F350 crew cabs and the like...of course those monstrosities were way too big to fit on the trail, so they hung around and played in the parking lot while my friends and I were off exploring in the Sidekick. Snowmobile/ATV trails the big trucks couldn't fit on: The Great White North...with some trail damage on the door...that was a story in itself...I was chasing a downed plane (I was a reporter at the time), and the road went from hard-packed gravel to 2 inches of mud...never stood a chance...it was a raised road, so off I went haha...about 100km from anywhere, no reception, no other vehicles, stuck in the middle of nowhere with just bear tracks to keep me company...had to cut down some trees so I could back the Suzuki up enough to get a running start at the elevated road so I could get back on top of it...I miss those days sometimes! And since this is transportation...found a truck that had apparently broken down and had been abandoned years and years earlier...makes our 4x4s look kind of tiny -=Prints For Sale at PIXELS=-

My 2005 BMW 325i has an I6 and the first gen Lexus IS series had an I6. The I6 makes fantastic torque, and should be used more often, imo. Fujifilm convert
