Back at it again! Looking forward to being out there and sharing! Was good to see the 'photo friends' as well which is always a gas... haha pun intended!

Always love C&C and appreciate the time spent to reply.

#2 needs some dust removal IMHO.

I love the paint on the stevenson cars....

Yup. It's in a box headed to CPS actually. I am camera-less right now! Suddenly had a bit of sun and going down that low without all the ND filters meant it really showed the dust on the sensor! Didn't expect any sunshine with the weather we were having at the roar :(

Well done in the high banks. Like that a lot under the lights.

#2 despite the dust bunnies is an interesting angle...
#3, despite it showing the two cars from my least favorite team is a very nice image, getting the headlights to show that way is well done.
#6, what was your technique on that, there is no EXIF so i can't check SS...just curious, interesting look, still on the fence about it.

I think I've also heard it referred to as a zoom pull...but yeah zoom out while you pan...real tough, but can look awesome as Halston has demonstrated here.

I will have to give it a try on purpose in a couple weeks...I have done it on accident...the results were less than desirable!

Best tip? Bring a step stool. At least one step or better yet two. Need it for the banking and the turns. With a step stool you can almost shoot the entire infield. Albeit from a slightly higher vantage point but certainly doable!

Just bring the 7D and 70-200 and enjoy. Can get lots of pans with that!

I don't know that I've ever posted more than once or twice in the few years that I've been lurking, but couldn't stay out of this thread. My 7D just got in on Monday, my rental 70-200 and 2x should be here on the 22nd, and I pick up my rental RV in Orlando for 4 or 5 days of Daytona on the 24th. Cannot wait for this first trip to Daytona!

Great set there Halston! #3 was really one of those "wow" shots for me. Loved it! I'm not so crazy about the "pull zoom" images or whatever technique that is. I get a headache from those.
