Apparently the OP has issues with the S100. Simply replicating the problems is apparently a huge challenge because of his/her skill level.

well... that's uncalled for.... after crying for about 3 hours about those comments, i'm left to wonder why... WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!​!!!!!!!!!!

After looking at your image on flicker, it is all out of focus, I have found sometimes my S100 will not focus and show a yellow box not Green but will still take the image. It happens in dark environments and I have to 1/2 push the shutter release several times to get a green box (focus lock). The S100 may also have been in manual focus mode, an easy mistake to make when changing from normal to closeup and back.
