hello all,
I'm well aware of the front focus issue with Sigma, but is it normal that even at +20 AF Microadjust is still NOT enough?
I got a great deal on this ($200; previous owner hated it and he couldn't MA with Rebel), knowing I can MA with 5dm3; but +20 is getting there but still a tad short.

Hi! I'm Bau NGUYEN. I'm a prime-o-holic, and I'm addicted to creamy bokeh. :p

I've just had to return my newly bought Sigma 50mm as even with +20 adjustment it wasn't anywhere near enough. Really quite frustrating and disappointing for a lens of this cost to have these kind of issues. At wide open my copy was horrendously soft, we are talking 'dream like' soft. It had nice bokeh but my Canon 50mm 1.8 was a hell of a lot sharper at 1.8 than the Sigma.

It's actually put me off getting a replacement as I can see this being a never ending quest to find a decent copy. Plus with having to pay £26 every time to ship it back to DigitalRev will become tiresome quickly.

^ How about searching for someone who has the same body as you who is selling one and look at photos he's taken with it before you buy?

Send it back to Sigma and they can fix it. It's a known issue and might be under warranty still.
