Well, after having just three shoots in all of 2012, I promised 2013 would be better. This was my first shoot, my second is already up on this forum. I want to improve this year so any ways of doing so will be gratefully received. I am also getting more used to the Canon setup after having a D700 for some time.

I don't like directing people to a link, but I also don't like posting too many photos as I think it dilutes too much so the full set can be seen on Flickr should you care to, although most are similar.

Really like #3 as to the composition. Doorway in focus with background bokeh'd really makes her stand out. Very good.

Wow, great set! Just wonderful poses, great model, just all around great photos. The third and fourth are my favorites, but gosh they're all great.

Thank you. These were taken with the 5D Mark III + 85mm F1.2, all wide open or close to if I remember rightly.

Thank you. Those last two seem to be favourable. :)

I understand. And I agree, hence why I didn't just post one and then a link. I'm not a fan of that. But I also think it makes it hard to give/receive feedback when there are too many photos in the thread so I posted what I thought were the best from the shoot and was just advising that there were more should you want to see, although they are similar. :)

Camera nuts like us are going to go crazy over these with their narrow dof... especially #3.

But my wife said they made her dizzy looking at things that were so much in focus and then the busy backgrounds that are so much out of focus... especially # 3.

BTW in #3 why would a sidewalk have walls on both side of it and how does a wall go into the street as it appears to do on the right hand side of the image? Or is there some PS magic going on???

John
