Hey alls,

I mentioned in this other thread https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1259609
I posted the other day that I was on my way down to Duck,NC for a summer vacation and here's some pics from Duck, First time I've ever been to any of the Carolina's, very pretty state.

Hard to pick just 8 to highlight here as I've spent since then post processing a couple thousand pics. we had perfect skys the whole week there soo had lots of golden hour light pics to process, the whole trip not a drop of rain to spoil our fun, well one night there was a report of rain but we were unconcious sooooo

here's 8 + some direct link adds, just cause

Great shots, Steve. Especially like the way you caught the gull just beneath the sunrise, and of course being an old Coastie, I like the Coast Guard Station pic. Duck is a beautiful town and I think it's the best of the Outer Banks.

Thanks Mike, yeah on the old coast guard station that was taken from the back of a wild horses tour 4x4 going 35mph on bumpy sand haha, love the scene I could rid the real estate sign and power lines in CS if I really wanted to clean that pic up.

I agree on what you said about Duck we was up and down the OBX all that week and agree on that being the best of the towns. you mentioned the bird Sun pic well I was tracking birds trying to get that scene and noticed in PP that this bird had caught breakfast. neato

Thanks, and yeah on #7 I gasped when I saw that one on my LCD scene at the time of taking it, my friend Pam who was celebrating her 40th birthday with this week in Duck is pictured there with her boyfriend, she said she teared up when I gave her the processed jpeg. its got a dreamy heavenly look to it I think.
I see your from NC. cool cool

Since I can't upload all my trip pics and there's a couple of ya's from the area already commenting on these, here's my Facebook Album with tons more Duck, NC pics you might recognize some backdrops or house's you might have owned or rented.

The house we rented was oceanside and we have rented it again for next year, we loved it soo much.
& here's the FB album even though FB downgrades pics make sure you click the fullscreen arrows when viewing on FB cause I size em big to fit fullscreen

I just visited OBX for first time this last summer and I am looking forward to returning. You made some amazing shots of the area. Well done!
